Sarah Bee | 12-15 May

The landscape provides a painter with unending opportunities to interpret observed light, texture and energy. During this course participants will use a layered mixed media approach, culminating in pastel, to portray these qualities.

Sarah will demonstrate this process on a daily basis and during each day will give regular one to one advice and tuition.

We will start by practising the effects that can be achieved, and then go out to sketch in the landscape. (bring previously made sketches and reference material for use in the event of poor weather)

Painting from these observations takes place in the studio and participants will hope to glean some new techniques and ideas to include in their own practice. Everyone will doubtless have some finished pieces and probably some work to continue at home!
