Monoprint Workshop

Thrilled that Patrick Smith will once again be running his inspirational Monoprint workshop here at Lund Studios! 
Monoprinting - a form of printmaking where the image can only be made once. It can be thought of as a 'printed painting or drawing', and can lead to a distinctive style. Patrick will cover topics of; paper choice and preparation, working lines into colour fields, colour mixing and layering, all in addition to good studio practice.

Suitable for all levels.  Materials, lunch and all refreshments included.

Landscape Painting in Acrylics

Saturday 22nd September 2018

10am - 4pm

Patrick is an accomplished landscape painter. During this one day workshop he will work with a small group to share his insights, demonstrate techniques and give time for one-on-one discussion of personal practice.

The course will be based at Lund Studios. If the weather is wonderful we'll open up the doors and venture into the gardens to capture the rolling Yorkshire landscape towards the North York Moors.

Suitable for all levels. Materials, lunch and all refreshments included.

An Introduction to Printmaking - One Year Course 2018/19

Patrick will work with a small group of people to explore a wide variety of printmaking techniques including monoprint, collograph, etching, linocut, drypoint and more.

All materials are included in the price of the course.

Price - £185 per term

Time: 1.30 – 4.30 Monday afternoons

Dates – every 2 weeks, 3 terms, 6 sessions per term

About Patrick

Patrick Smith is an accomplished artist practising in fine art and printmaking. He has work in many private collections both nationally and internationally. Patrick studied painting and printmaking at Leeds Metropolitan University where he was awarded the William Tier memorial award for Landscapes and Erasmus scholarship to train at the Utrecht School of the Arts in Holland. He has a long history of teaching and sharing his practice, having taught for many years to degree level plus running courses and workshops across the North:
